Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Circuit Haze website and plugins, operated by Shakey Associates Ltd (Company No. 07921714), 167-169 Great Portland Street, London. By downloading a product, buying a product, or creating an account, you agree to them. You must be at least 18, or have a parent or guardian's permission, to use our products or make a purchase.

Our products

Some of our plugins are free indefinitely — no license, no account, no purchase. Others are paid, sold under a perpetual, per-device license: buying one doesn't transfer ownership of the software, it grants you the right to activate and use it on a limited number of your own devices.

Free products are excluded from any coverage under these terms — the license, warranty, and support commitments below apply only to paid products. A free plugin is offered as-is, with no license required and no obligations on either side.

License grant & restrictions

We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use a purchased plugin on the devices you register, for as long as your license remains valid. You may not:

• Redistribute, resell, rent, or share your license or activation files.
• Reverse-engineer, circumvent, or tamper with the plugin's copy protection or license verification.
• Use the software to build a competing product.

We may revoke a license found to be used in violation of these terms.

Intellectual property

We (or our licensors) own all rights, title, and interest in our software, trademarks, and branding. Buying a license doesn't transfer any of that to you — it only grants the usage rights described above.

Accounts

Your account is tied to your email address and secured via passwordless sign-in links. You're responsible for keeping access to that inbox secure — anyone with a valid sign-in link can access your account and licenses.

Payments

Purchases are processed by Paddle, our merchant of record, who handle payment, tax, and invoicing on our behalf. See our Refund Policy for how refunds work.

Termination

You can stop using our products and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account or a license if we reasonably believe you've breached these terms — where possible, we'll tell you why. Ending an account doesn't entitle you to a refund beyond what's described in our Refund Policy.

No warranty

Our plugins are provided “as is,” without warranty of any kind. We don't guarantee they'll be free of bugs or compatible with every DAW, OS version, or hardware configuration. To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of them.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. Nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continuing to use our products after a change means you accept the update. If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Questions? Submit a support request.
